Stores and Logistics Officer

Photons Energy Limited is a renewable energy service provision company based in Arusha. PEL designs, supply, install and maintain solar power systems, solar water pumping systems, solar water heating systems, electric backup systems and other related systems. The company also provides energy efficiency services such as energy audits and supply of energy-efficient appliances.

Photons Energy Ltd is looking for a reliable Stores and Logistics Officer to be responsible for the overall supply chain and store management. Stores and Logistics Manager responsibilities include organizing and monitoring storage and distribution of goods.

The goal is to manage the entire order cycle to enhance business development and ensure sustainability and customer satisfaction.

The duty station for the Stores and logistics officer will be Arusha


Duties and Responsibilities

Your duties and responsibilities will be but not limited to:

  • Strategically plan and manage logistics, warehouse, transportation and customer services
  • Direct, optimize and coordinate full order cycle
  • Liaise and negotiate with suppliers, manufacturers, retailers and consumers
  • Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency
  • Keep track of credit facilities with suppliers
  • Arrange warehouse, plan routes and process shipments
  • Resolve any arising problems or complaints
  • Supervise, coach and train warehouse workforce
  • Meet cost, productivity, accuracy and timeliness targets
  • Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements
  • Ensure all the data are recorded in software and readily available for review by the management
  • Generate quarterly reports and present them to the management
  • Ensure the safety of all stores
  • Comply with laws and regulations required

Qualifications

  • Proven working experience as a stores and Logistics officer
  • Record of successful distribution and logistics management
  • Demonstrable ability to lead and manage staff
  • Proficient in standard logistics/store software
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects
  • At least a holder of a diploma in Business Administration, Logistics or Supply Chain
  • Valid driving license
